Early summertime in Montana is gorgeous. It’s not too hot or too cold; everything is green and colorful! This year, we had a lot of rain, so the early summer look is blessing us throughout the middle of summer. YAY! Talking about blessings, the Gearheart family is expecting a little addition to their family! I am so incredibly excited for them. This maternity session was our third session together. And every time, I enjoy every second with them. They have been through a lot this year and through all of it, their spirits and commitment to each other are still as strong as ever before. They are so inspiring, and I am thankful to have met them and honored to watch and document their journey as they change seasons of life.

Every maternity session is unique and sometimes it’s a couple’s first child, sometimes it's their second and sometimes it's just mom. And each one of these is just as special as the rest. For the Gearheart family this is their second child and I am so honored that they wanted me to capture this session for them. They are always so kind, joyful and fun to work with. Aubrey, their daughter, is just the sweetest little thing you ever did meet. She is so soft spoken (at least in front of the camera) and so natural and authentic. Almost every time I go to pose her, I say never mind, do what you were doing, because she just naturally falls into place.

I don’t know which portion of this session gets my heart strings the most. Can I just say the entire thing? I am obsessed with Brooke and Aubrey’s mom and me part of the session. Aubrey’s little hands on Brooke's tummy just gets me. And the fun Brooke and John had during their portion of the session just had me smiling and laughing the entire time. They are so meant to be together, and I am so happy that they found each other and that I get to be a little part of their life when they need someone to document their world.

I cannot forget about Brookes solo portion of the session. This is one of my favorite portions of a maternity session. There is something so majestic and empowering about it. I will let the photos speak for themselves because I simply do not have the words to describe how they make me feel.

Thank you so much for reaching out to me for that very first family session we had and for all the ones following. You guys share a love and bond that is truly inspiring and amazing to witness. So, thank you for allowing me to not only witness but to document it as well so I can show off how beautiful, inside and out, you all are. I am so deeply excited for you guys, and I cannot wait to see the baby. You guys are going to be amazing parents of two. I can't believe it. I am just so happy for you all. It is going to be amazing watching you go from 3 to 4. Here is to a long-awaited arrival and blessing to great to explain.
